  1. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice
The recent release of producer, Jerry Bruckheimer's film The Sorcerer’s Apprentice has had mixed reviews. There are marked differences between Matthew Turners review for The ViewLondon and Alex Zane’s review for The Sun.
Both Turner and Zane recognise and praise the big budget special effects which see to huge explosions and outstanding magic tricks, Turner claiming them “Terrific” and Zane agreeing.
Turner also claims the story has a decent script with pacey direction, but Zane focuses on the negative claiming that “the script is nonsense, therefore goes on and on about the same thing”
Zane claims the performances as being “poor quality” and is critical about the comedy element in the film, saying it is just “a silly story”. Turner however believes performances and comedy in the movie are strong.
The emotional side of the film is both criticised and praised. “It doesn’t pull of the emotional bits” claims Turner while Zane says “romantic subplot corny, but it adds some emotion”
All in all Turner concludes that The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is an “engaging fantasy adventure”, while Zane has the opposite opinion, wrapping up the movie as being “poor” and “really boring”
Turner and Zane obviously disagree on the quality of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. This could be because they are from different organizations and will obviously have their own opinion. Perhaps if you want to have a review that is accurate for you, you will have to see the movie.

  2. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice
Since the release of John Turtletaubs new movie, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, the movie is widely reviewed; there are differences between two reviewers Alex Zane and Matthew Turner.
Matthew Turner thinks the script is funny with witty characters while Alex Zane thinks, with a silly story and expected to be good the script is the problem.
Both reviewers thought the movie had impressive big budget special effects and that the romance was corny and didn’t quite work.
“No fireballs or car chases can stop the whole thing from being really boring” stated Alex Zane but Matthew Turner said it was “entertaining, pacily directed and with strong performances.
Alex Zane thinks Baruchel and Kebbell are a great combination and it makes you think that they need more screen time together.
The movie was recommended by turner with three stars and Zane gives it a low two stars but the reviews only offer Turners and Zane’s opinions and what attracts one person won’t always necessarily attract others.
