Schoolgen Cluster Day

Huntly Cluster Day

A very successful Schoolgen Cluster day was held at the Huntly Power Station on Wednesday 25th August for 12 local schools in Huntly.
45 students and 12 teachers enjoyed a day of intensive learning about solar energy, electricity and wind energy; with five activity stations being led by experts from Genesis Energy.
The Cluster Day provides a Science extension programme for a lead group of gifted and talented students, ideally in years 6 - 8. Students made the most of engineers from the Huntly Power Station working with them throughout the day.
The Cluster Day is also professional development for the teachers who accompany the students; exposing them to new concepts about solar energy and the Schoolgen website and resources.
Go to Schoolgen Cluster Day - Huntly to find out more about what the students did on the day and visit the Schoolgen home page to find out more about how Genesis Energy is working in schools to increase student awareness of the benefits of solar energy as a sustainable energy source.
